Meet your host, Rae Brenne

Hello, I’m Rae! I’ve had a love for arts and crafts since I was quite young. At 13, I began my knitting journey which has led me to where I am now. From 2006 to 2009, I worked in two different yarn and fibre stores in Toronto while I attended post-secondary. In 2009, I returned to North Bay where I opened Stix & Stones. Now in my twelfth year, I have expanded my store into the space next door, and created a full workshop and fibre dying studio. Stix & Stones carries yarn and all the accessories for knitting and crocheting; as well as supplies and accessories for hobbies such as macrame, needle felting, cross stitching and punch needling. I love to share my love with people and now that I have a dedicated workshop, I am excited to be offering lots of different workshops and experiences to all ages and help people develop their love of fibre arts!
