Join me for a session of Nordic walking, a wonderful year-round exercise. Nordic walking is easy on the joints and is great for posture, balance, and stability. It strengthens and tones the upper body and burns up 46 percent more calories than standard walking. If running seems like too much for you and standard walking is not enough, then Nordic walking might be just the right exercise for you!
Nordic walking was introduced in Northern Europe in the 70s and is now taking Canada by storm. This is an infectious and social activity. You will make new friends. Nordic walking allows you to enjoy being safely around others in our beautiful outdoors. It is a great opportunity to socialize while giving your body what it deserves – a great and gentle work out.
Poles will be provided and disinfected between use. We will be using poles by a wonderful Canadian company called Urban Poling.
