What We'll Do
Copy

Join Living Life with Ike yoga instructor Nadine and Chiwawasumkwe Knowledge Keeper Linja at the entrance to the Nimki Asin trail (as known by the Matachewan First Nation), or the Manidoo Wabikong (name used by the Timiskaming First Nation) also known as Devil’s Rock, for a 30 minute easy hike to the edge of the rock cliff.

During our walk, we will learn some of the history of this incredibly breathtaking and significant site and experience a few of the local Indigenous ceremonies that were performed here over the millennia.

Upon our arrival, we’ll start with a short meditation to connect with our surroundings, accompanied with a Pranayama (breath) exercise before moving into a flow yoga class. A pipe ceremony will be included in one portion of our class. Yoga is followed by a Berry and Water Ceremony and we will leave to a Drum song on our way out!

There’s plenty of room available at the summit for all sizes of groups. No previous yoga experience required, just bring a mat and a flexible mind! It will be an awe-inspiring experience you’ll never forget!
